The Ministry of Health has changed the conditions for medical examination of children and adults in Belarus from 2024. This is provided for by the resolution of the Ministry of Health No. 125 of August 30, 2023, reported in press service of the ministry.
The department clarified that the medical examination is aimed at carrying out medical prevention; promotion of a healthy lifestyle; fostering citizens’ responsibility for their health; detection of chronic non-communicable diseases in the early stages.
Clinical examination is carried out in groups of clinical observation of the adult population – from 18 to 39 years old and from 40 years old and older; children’s population – up to 1 year and from 1 year to 17 years.
It has also been established that medical examination will be carried out within one working day: for persons aged 18 to 40 years – once every three years; for those over 40 years old – once a year. Within two working days once a year – to persons who have reached the generally established retirement age, as well as for five years before it.
During clinical examination, doctors analyze patient documents, conduct a survey with a questionnaire to identify risk factors for the development of non-communicable diseases, assess risk factors for the development of non-communicable diseases, and also conduct a medical examination and decide on additional diagnostics. After all these manipulations, the institution issues a medical examination record card.
The Ministry of Health noted that they will now take into account all medical examinations and medical interventions over the past 12 months before the medical examination.
Resolution of the Ministry of Health No. 125 comes into force on January 1, 2024.
