National coach search: FC Bayern gives Nagelsmann the go-ahead

The DFB has apparently overcome a first important hurdle in its efforts to recruit Julian Nagelsmann. According to the Bild newspaper, the 36-year-old has received approval for the national coaching job from his club Bayern Munich, from which he was released in March. Nagelsmann still has a contract with FC Bayern until 2026.
