Minister of Finance Proposes Additional State Capital Participation for BUMN in 2023 – Jakarta

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati proposed additional state capital participation (PMN) for BUMN in 2023 amounting to IDR 4.514 trillion. The PMN comes from investment financing reserves.

In more detail, this PMN is for PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (Persero) or BPUI amounting to IDR 3 trillion. The PMN is to strengthen PT Asuransi Jiwa IFG’s capital to accept the transfer of PT Asuransi Jiwasraya’s portfolio.

Then, IDR 1.014 trillion for PT Aviation Wisata Indonesia (Persero).

“Then IDR 1.014 trillion was injected into PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia for the restructuring of ITDC in the framework of the assignment to improve the quality of infrastructure for the Mandalika SEZ and the construction and development of the Sanur SEZ by HIN,” he said in a working meeting with Commission XI of the DPR, Jakarta, Tuesday (12/9 /2023).

Furthermore, this additional state capital injection is IDR 500 billion for PT Bina Karya (Persero). The PMN is for capital expenditure (capex) to support assignments in building the National Capital (IKN) in the telecommunications and basic infrastructure sectors.

“This is a BUMN which will later be converted into business entity owned by the IKN authority. This is the first form of PMN capex within the framework of a BUMN which will later be managed by the IKN authority and can carry out activities including collaboration with the private sector. This is mainly to build IKN in the telecommunications and infrastructure sectors basic,” he explained.

In the 2023 APBN, the government has allocated cash PMN with a value of IDR 42.827 trillion. The PMN for PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (Persero) is IDR 1.530 trillion, PT Hutama Karya (Persero) IDR 28.884 trillion, PT Len Industri (Persero) IDR 1.754 trillion, PT PLN (Persero) IDR 10 trillion, and Airnav Indonesia IDR 659. 19 billion.
