New York (dpa) – Star quarterback Aaron Rodgers was injured just a few minutes after his debut as an NFL professional for the New York Jets and is in danger of being out for a long time.
After the win against the Buffalo Bills, coach Robert Saleh spoke of the suspicion that the 39-year-old newcomer had a torn Achilles tendon. This would mean that Rodgers’ debut season with the Jets would end early. Investigations should now bring clarity. “We are concerned about his Achilles tendon,” said coach Saleh. “It’s not good,” he said.
