Alliance Fest Cali: music around jazz presents: He Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m the conference “From KIND OF BLUE to our times” with Víctor Cifuentes at the Alianza Francesa in Cali.
Talk about the album Kind of Blue by Miles Davis is to talk about a before and after in the history of Jazz. Considered one of the greatest masterpieces of 20th century music, Kind of Blue It is an album that breaks with all the improvisation schemes and structures proposed until now among jazz musicians of the time.

Tortugas Azules is a Colombian rock, blues and fusion group, founded in 2009. They present beautifully sound work, with electric and acoustic nuances of the blues, soul y funk with tonalities from the Andes and the Pacific, giving rise to the Colombian Blues sound.
In their lyrics they tell stories of the Colombian social context that has been affected by large forced mobilizations of entire families and that are now part of our daily life, leaving us as fruit, characters who walk and give social meaning to the streets of a society like the Colombian.
Víctor Roll Power Blues Trio / September 22, 8:00 pm at the Alianza Francesa in Cali.
Víctor Raúl Cifuentes is a guitarist, composer and researcher who graduated from the Popular Institute of Culture and Business Administrator from the Santiago de Cali University. He began his piano studies at the age of 11, but his true passion is the guitar, which he began studying at the age of 15.
It becomes part of the Cali Blues Compilations Vol.1 and Vol.2 with three songs of its authorship, released on digital platforms between 2018 and 2022 respectively. In October 2020 he released his most recent production titled Alma de Blues, under the stage name Víctor Roll and in 2021 he participated as a session guitarist in Las Tortugas Azules’ most recent production, titled, Resistance and Passion. On November 27, 2022, he participates in the Rock Al Parque Festival in the city of Bogotá, with the Colectivo Blues de Cali.

Overcoming the barriers of a digital world in which it is easier to greet astronauts at the south pole of the moon than to hug your neighbor, the Trihados finally met in a country house in June 2023.
From a friendship of years and another still budding, choral sonorities emerged, sometimes theatrical, pop, sometimes avant-garde, experimental and sometimes worldly from the bass of Juan Manuel, the piano of Eliseo and the tenor sax of Nicolás.
