The Huawei Mate 60 series, consisting of the Mate 60 and Mate 60 Pro models, is attracting attention because it has technology that indicates that Huawei has successfully overcome US sanctions and is once again a rival to Apple.

Judging from the price, the Huawei Mate 60 is priced starting at 5,999 yuan (almost Rp. 12.6 million) the same as the iPhone 14. Meanwhile, rumors suggest that the iPhone 15 is slightly more expensive.
What is the capability of the Huawei Mate 60 series? Huawei has promoted the ability of its high-end Mate 60 smart phone to support satellite communications so users can make calls or send messages in areas where there is no cellular or internet signal, such as in the mountains or at sea.
Huawei has not revealed details of the chips used, but analysis firm TechInsights found that the Mate 60 is powered by a new Kirin 9000s chip made in China by Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC).

Speed tests shared by buyers on social media show that the Mate 60 Pro is capable of achieving download speeds that exceed those of top-tier 5G phones.
A Mate 60 user in China compared the phone to the latest iPhone 14. The review says that the Mate 60 has comparable specifications such as storage and memory with the iPhone 14.
Huawei has not named the component supplier for the Mate 60 chip, although apart from SMIC, TechInsights also said it found South Korean SK Hynix DRAM and NAND components inside the phone.

SK Hynix already stopped cooperation with Huawei when the United States imposed restrictions on Huawei in 2019.
Hynix said it was conducting an investigation into the alleged presence of their components in the Mate 60.
Meanwhile, the Mate 60 Pro model contains more Chinese-made chip components than the previous model.
