At the East Spiritual Center, an event was held by the faction IOANNINA_2023 for the presentation of the program of the East Municipal Unit, as well as the candidates for municipal councilors of the municipal communities for this municipal unit.
Mayor candidate Tatiana Kalogianni, starting her speech, noted: “The area of N.E. East is developing rapidly both in terms of population and housing. It has now been functionally integrated into the urban fabric of the city of Ioannina. The development of the municipality towards the South, creates new needs for urban planning and zoning in both Bafra and Neo-Caesarea. These critical issues will be the subject of the new study of local urban planning that is being launched during this period and these important issues must be dealt with rationally, economically and technically optimally and in accordance with the medium and long-term social requirements and needs. However, in order for these to be done correctly and on time, there must be a municipal authority in the administration of the municipality that understands the criticality of its role and, above all, is aware of the essence of the procedures».
Then, the candidate for Mayor, referring to the faction IOANNINA_2023, emphasized: “We formed a municipal faction with no past, from scratch. Not as successors to an earlier faction. She was staffed with many of our fellow citizens, most of them in the most productive phase of their lives. And especially from citizens who are not possessed by complexes for anyone and for nothing, without selfishness and with a clear conscience. We drew up a comprehensive plan to reshape the image and operation of the municipality and declared ourselves present and present in the battle against stagnation and inactivity. We fight the battle with: Honesty, Knowledge of all issues of our Municipality, Specific plan, Strong team, Proven experience, Successful term in local government. Our fellow citizens on October 8 are invited to draw a red line with the past. NO to a vote of oblivion, NO to experimentation, NO to populist trappings. YES to hope. - Connection to the new water supply network and simultaneous isolation of the old one.
- Reconstruction of the street from the location of Lidl on E.O. Ioannina-Artas until Niarchou Ave.
- Establishment and construction of the 2nd Children’s and Nursery School
For BAFRA:
- Cleaning sinkholes to ensure flood protection.
- Cleaning and utilization of the thickets for their integration into “City Break Tourism”.
- Creation of a sewer network.
For NEOCAESIAREA:
- Construction of modern city bus stops, so that the waiting of passengers is safe and problem-free.
- Creation of a sewer network.
