According to the New York Mercantile Exchange, October trade was at USD87.28 per barrel at the time of writing, down 0.26%.
The session was previously traded lower at USD86.72 per barrel. It may find support points at USD85.93 and resistance at USD88.15.
Dollar Index contracts, which measure the US currency’s performance against a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.52% to trade at USD104.16.
At the same time on Nymex, the price for November rose by 0.07% to trade at USD90.59 per barrel, while the spread between contracts stood at USD3.31 per barrel.
