Fans of the band have seen various drummers, guitarists and bassists come and go over the years. Only singer Chrissie Hynde has remained a constant since the group’s founding in 1978. Although drummer Martin Chambers returned in 1994 after leaving the band in 1986.
“In fact, the group has changed so much that we are now a tribute band pretending to be Pretenders,” says Hynde.
