The Public Ministry has decided to open a preliminary investigation against the mayor of the District Municipality of Huanchaco, Efraín Bueno, for allegedly hiring personnel who did not meet the established requirements. Another 12 officials are included in the process.
The investigations are being carried out by the Third Provincial Corporate Criminal Prosecutor’s Office of Trujillo for the alleged crime against the public administration in the form of improper appointment and acceptance for public office, to the detriment of the State. This process was opened after Milagro Jacob Vallejos denounced the alleged events.
According to prosecutor Carmen Varas Valderrama, these investigations will be carried out within a period of 120 days. One of the first procedures will be the interrogation of the investigated person, Mayor Bueno Alva, which is scheduled for September 28.
