With a powerful social message, Resident releases his new short film video, “Problema Cabrón” with Argentine rapper WOS.
The all-star cast features acclaimed actors: Alberto Amman of “Narcos” and “Narcos México,” Michelle Jenner of “Isabel” and Darko Perić of “La Casa de Papel.”

René Pérez Joglar, known worldwide as Residente, presents “Problema Cabrón.” This cinematographic piece features the collaboration of the talented Argentine rapper and Latin Grammy nominee, WOS. It is the continuation of the series of videos released by Residente, which have resonated strongly for their bold statements. The direction was directed by Residente himself and co-directed by Alejandro Pedrosa, produced by 1868 Studios, an association of Residente and Sony Entertainment. This short music video features the performance of the most renowned actors on the international scene, and features Residente and WOS in a leading role.
“Problema Cabrón” highlights the social tension caused by government brutality. The piece is characterized by its bold lyrics that reflect a firm social position. The short film culminates by revealing that everything is part of a film set.
What’s new about Resident
Before this premiere, Residente presented “ Quiero Ser Baladista ” with the renowned global artist, Ricky Martin. This black and white short film, about 10 minutes long, is a true cinematographic gem where Residente and Alejandro Pedrosa collaborate again. The plot centers on the kidnapping of Afo Verde, CEO of Sony Music Latin-Iberia, and features Ricky Martin in a surprising role.
Additionally, “ Quiero Ser Baladista ” followed the trailer for “ Residente and the Priest ”; an intimate confession that reveals the essence of Residente. Shortly after, Residente surprised with “Bajo y Battery”; another black and white short film showcasing his distinctive rap style, featuring the iconic black cap [R] of Resident.
Today, Residente is in the final stages of production on his second album with 5020 Récords in association with Sony Latin, and continues to explore film and television projects with 1868 Studios.
