Blizzard Entertainment announced today (8th) that “Strike 2” will launch a permanently open “Hero Specialization” mode. This single-player mode tests the player’s individual heroic skills as they race through levels as quickly as possible while dealing with numerous training robots, obstacles and bouncing boards.
The official will launch a limited-time event from now until September 26. If you complete the challenges of the hero specialization mode, you can get exclusive weapon charms, souvenirs, spray paints, titles and other rewards.
The hero specialization mode launched in the first round includes Flash, Mercy and Reinhardt. Each hero has three levels of increasing difficulty. Earning at least 3 stars in the Recruit Level will open the Agent Level. The levels of Sojourn and Winston will be launched on September 13th and September 20th respectively.
Players need to fight in the hero specialization level, defeat multiple robots, and find ways to get high scores to get more star ratings.
The number of badges collected and the time it takes to pass the level will determine your star rating. There will be two types of badges, large and small, in the level. Large badges are harder to obtain but have more points. Depending on the time it takes to reach the finish line, there will be a score calculation multiplier for gold, silver, and bronze. The faster the speed and the less time it takes, the higher the total score will be.
The Hero Specialization mode is equipped with a new training robot that can dodge, block and attack players on its own. Types include tanky human shield robots, rocket robots that can cause massive burst damage, and sniper robots that can kill targets from a distance.
After mastering three levels of a certain hero, you can get a unique player avatar, exclusive name tag and additional battle pass experience points. In addition, complete limited-time event challenges to get an exclusive weapon charm, souvenir, spray paint and title.
The new single-player challenge mode “Hero Specialization” in “Strike 2” has been launched today and is open to all players for free.
