The course of play witnessed great control for the Sharjah men throughout the match, with them leading in the first half with a score of (14-8), despite the two teams tied in the second half (11-11), due to Sharjah’s Tunisian coach, Sami Al-Saeedi, rotating the squad by involving most of the players. Substitutes to gain sensitivity and match fitness and prepare them for the upcoming dates in a season that witnesses a calendar crowded with competitions locally and abroad.
With this result, Sharjah leads the standings with a full mark after two victories over Shabab Al-Ahly and Al-Wasl, and is very close to qualifying for the final of the tournament, which will be determined after the confrontation between King Al-Sharqawi and Dibba Al-Hisn at the end of the preliminary round next Tuesday at the Sharjah Sports Club hall, where the Federation Cup competition will be held with the participation of 8 teams. Clubs started with the preliminary round of two groups in a one-round league system, and after determining the ranking of each group, the winner of the Sharjah group will meet the winner of the second group (Al-Nasr, Al-Jazira, Al-Ain and Maliha) in the final round, to determine the champion in one match in a neutral hall on September 16th.
It is noteworthy that Sharjah, the record holder and five-time champion last season, aspires to open the new season by winning the Federation Cup, before competing in the local Super Cup on September 22 against Shabab Al-Ahly, and then setting off to defend its title in the Emirates Cup competitions next October 6, and the General League on November 7.
