The Slovak Rebecca Sramkova reached the final of the Bari tournament, winning two sets to zero (7-5, 6-3) against the Croatian Jana Fett in Bari, late Saturday afternoon.
Sramkova, 153rd WTA player in the world, will face the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Alize Cornet, seeded No. 1, and Slovenian Tamara Zidansek, seeded No.5 in the final of the Open Puglia.
The Slovak tennis player won against the Brazilian Laura Pigossi, seeded n°6 (6-3, 6-1), against the Russian Polina Kudermetova (7-6). [2]3-6, 6-3), and against Romanian Jaqueline Cristian, seeded No. 2 (6-2, 7-5), earlier in the tournament.
Fett, ranked 251st in the WTA, had dismissed the Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera, seeded n°7 (6-3, 6-3), the Cypriot Raluka Serban (6-4, 6-1), and Zeynep Sonmez (7-6 [1]6-4).
