The majority of the golden members in the General Assembly of the Al-Shabab Club unanimously agreed to present a single consensus list, appointing Abdulaziz Al-Malik as president by acclamation, with his deputy being a new face on the white map, according to Al-Riyadiyah private sources.
The consensus list will be presented next Tuesday, on the last day of the presidential nomination period, which begins today.
Informed sources indicated that Prince Abdul Rahman bin Turki, the golden member, became the youth with the most votes in the General Assembly with about 11,000 after supporting the club with ten million riyals last week, surpassing Khaled Al-Thunayan, the golden member (seven thousand votes).
On August 27, the Ministry of Sports announced the dissolution of the Youth Administration, headed by Khaled Al-Thunayan, and assigned Khalif Al-Huwaishan to manage the club’s affairs until the extraordinary general assembly was held.
The Ministry attributed the reasons for the dissolution of the Board of Directors, which was only 27 days after its election, to the resignation of four of its members.
It is noteworthy that Al-Malik was on Muhammad Al-Munajem’s list that competed in the club’s recent elections.
