The Buiter Beton site mainly contains F10, F12 and F16 models in all their manifestations, including a day cabin. Furthermore, many Volvo F88 and F89 models, including a fairly unique day cabin version. We also saw an F720 with sleeper cabin, various N88 models and the more recent N7 and N10 models at the show. Very special is the small F83S box truck that has been converted into a camper.
Deutrans
The participants come from all over the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The original Volvo F10 box truck in the white Deutrans colors is nice. Behind this truck hangs a trailer from the GDR period in the orange Deutrans color. The doors feature the logo of Ostseetrans, a company that was later taken over by De Bruin. The N88 of Dijkstra from Hijlaard is also very beautiful. Behind this torpedo tractor with sleeping cabin hangs a completely restored DAF livestock trailer with a wooden superstructure.
One Scania
There are many beautiful things from Volvo history on the site, but there is one Scania in the parking lot. The beautifully restored Scania 111 in the Van Maanen colors from Barneveld was apparently not allowed on the site. After all, it is a Volvo Trucks meeting, but we couldn’t resist taking a photo of it.
Also tomorrow!
The Volvo Oldtimer Weekend in Balkbrug can also be visited tomorrow, September 10. Entrance is free!
