Dr. Jamal Shaaban, consultant cardiologist and former dean of the Heart Institute, identified a number of tips to protect against sudden clots and strokes.

Shaaban added in a post on the official Facebook page: Protection against clots begins in childhood and not after the age of 140. To protect yourself from clots, we must adhere as much as possible to these tips:

1- Healthy food rich in vegetables and fruits, and not consuming excessive amounts of starches, sugars, animal fats, or hydrogenated fats (artificial ghee), and accustoming children from a young age to grilled and boiled foods.

Avoid fried foods and fast food as much as possible, and drink plenty of water.

2- Avoid weight gain and obesity.

3- Regular exercise.

4- Food planning: early breakfast, lunch no later than 5 pm, and a light dinner (yogurt and fruit) at 10 pm or no dinner.

5- Sleep in sufficient quantity and quality.

6- Do not smoke or sit with smokers, and prevent energy drinks and soft drinks.

7- In the event of the presence of risk factors that directly affect the health of the arteries, such as blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol, these diseases are dealt with firmly and decisively through regular medical follow-up.

Intensive drug treatment to preserve the arteries from the repercussions of these diseases.

8- Even a completely healthy person who does not feel any symptoms of illness must present himself once a year to a doctor for a periodic examination and to perform some routine tests such as cumulative blood sugar.

Cholesterol.

9- Make sure to change your mood by going out weekly to break the routine of life and relieve work pressures.

10- Avoid psychological and nervous stress as much as possible.
