Massive Drug Bust at Saudi Border: 200,000 Pills Seized and Arrests Made

Jeddah: Drug hunting continues strong in Saudi. The Customs Authority has seized around 200,000 drug pills that were trying to be smuggled into Saudi Arabia through the Bata border. Officials also informed that those who came to receive it were arrested.

There was an attempt to smuggle drugs into Saudi Arabia through the Batta border. They were found hidden in one of the vehicles that came this way. The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority seized 1,89,900 Capatagon tablets from a secret compartment inside the trunk of the car. They were found with the help of a dog specially trained for drug hunting.

The authorities also caught the man who came to Saudi Arabia to receive it in cooperation with Narcotics Control. Drug poaching is going strong across the country. The authorities have also implemented various schemes in cooperation with the border forces to prevent drug smuggling through the border. Due to this, many people have been arrested in the past few days. Authorities reminded that all types of drug trafficking, distribution and use, small and large, are crimes punishable by strong penalties.
