Hundreds of our compatriots, who were supposed to return to Sofia early this morning on Air Serbia flight FB1824, were unpleasantly surprised, as the flight was cancelled. This is what the victims told BLITZ.

The flight was scheduled to take off at 0:40 on Friday but was canceled at the last minute.

“The airline didn’t take care of us for hours, and so we were forced to hang at the airport together with our suitcases,” one of the passengers of the ill-fated destination did not hide his indignation.

BLITZ has learned that it took the Serbian operator a full 180 minutes to arrange for the passengers to be transported to a hotel in the vicinity of Belgrade.

The airline has promised the passengers that they will cover their accommodation expenses and the purchase of a new ticket. According to initial data, the flight from Belgrade to Sofia should take place today before noon.

What is interesting in this case is that the Belgrade-Sofia flight was the only one canceled yesterday. A BLITZ check found that passengers traveling to Barcelona, Frankfurt, Dubai, Larnaca and even Tirana had successfully departed.

The Serbian operator will return the money to the damaged Bulgarians, but who will return their nerves.
