Vanenburg thought the performance that Dumfries delivered against Greece was extremely impressive. “The man of the match,” says an enthusiastic Vanenburg. “Dumfries has such an enormous drive, a wonderful player for your team. Blind also played a good match according to Vanenburg. According to Vanenburg, Weghorst and Gakpo were not the best players on the field. “Weghorst is doing his best, hats off to his attitude too, but he remains a player who you have to bring when you have problems and have to force something in the last fifteen minutes. I expect more from Gakpo. As an attacker he has everything, the good physicality, speed, technique, it’s stylish but it’s still too flat.
