Improving the Inventory: A Modder’s Solution for a Cleaner and More Functional Starfield Interface

It looks like Bethesda decided to evoke a wave of nostalgia in the players by creating a system similar to the one that was in Skyrim.

But over the past decade, games have come a long way in design, as the work of modder “m8r98a4f2” demonstrates well.

He created a “StarUI Inventory” mod that makes the inventory in Starfield much cleaner and easier to use. The description talks about more accurate sorting, item statistics, weight and cost, as well as special icons that make it easier to distinguish between items.

The mod is inspired by a similar project for Skyrim called SkyUI. There is an opinion among the players that the inventory in the “clean” version of the game is so poor in features that each session must begin with the above modification. The counter on the NexusMods portal confirms that more than 6 million users have already used it.
