Major Joint Infrastructure Agreement on Railway Network between Gulf States, Arab Countries, and India to be Announced at G-20 Summit

“Axios” indicated that “Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the United States and India hope to announce a major joint infrastructure agreement at the G-20 summit linking the Gulf states and Arab countries through a railway network.”

The site said, quoting two sources familiar with the plan, that “it will be linked to India through shipping lanes from the region’s ports.”

He stated that the project is one of the main initiatives pushed by the White House in the Middle East with the growth of China’s influence in the region, as the Middle East is a major part of the “Belt and Road” initiative.

The joint railway project is expected to be one of the major achievements that US President Biden wants to present during the G-20 summit in New Delhi this weekend.

This comes as the Biden administration seeks to complete its diplomatic efforts to reach a huge deal with Saudi Arabia that could include a normalization agreement between the kingdom and Israel before the 2024 campaign consumes Biden’s agenda.
