‘History of our cinema’ season begins with a program that under the heading ‘Unlimited’will address the reflection in Spanish cinema of young people who live on the edge of excess, drugs, sex or the Law. Characters whose behavior runs on the opposite side of what is politically correct, even becoming uncomfortable for the viewer and that are present in the titles that will make up the double session of the night: ‘History’s part The crown‘ (Montxo Armendáriz, 1995) and ‘Tickets‘ (Daniel Calparsoro, 1996).
It will be the first program of a season of mythical titles of our cinema. The first quarter will be marked by tributes to the ‘Day of Spanish cinema’ or festivals such as San Sebastián and the Seminci in Valladolid.
In this beginning of the season, the presentation of the first film will be carried out by the film critic from Eldiario.es and collaborator of the program, Javier Zurro and the directors of both films will participate in the colloquium, Monxo Armendáriz y Daniel Calparsoro and the film critic of the newspaper El Mundo and regular collaborator of the program Luis Martinez.

‘History of Our Cinema The new season begins with a month of September full of legendary Spanish films. The celebration of the 25th anniversary of ‘Los amantes del círculo polar’ on Friday, September 1, together with Julio Medem, will be joined by titles such as ‘The spirit of the hive’, ‘Stories of the Kronen’, ‘The lucky star’ o ‘Life stains’.
Two tributes will mark the month of September. The one that the program will render to the filmmaker and teacher Victor Erice, the same day that he will receive the Donostia Award at the San Sebastián Festival, with the broadcast of the aforementioned ‘El espíritu de la colmena’ and ‘El Sur’ already Maribel Verduone of the great actresses of our cinema.
The first Friday of October will coincide with the celebration of ‘Spanish Cinema Day’. For the occasion, ‘Historia de Nuestro Cine’ recovers ‘The girl of your eyes’ by Fernando Trueba, one of the films most applauded by the public in the last 25 years. The program will also focus on the bunuel exiled and will stop in Valladolid, with a special program from the seed.
