Stunning Picture of Rare Comet C/2023 P1 Captured in Lebanon’s Sky

The “Lebanon Weather Forecast – LWF” page published, on Facebook, a picture of the comet “C/2023 P1”, which appeared at dawn yesterday, Wednesday, in the sky of the town of Deir al-Qamar – the Chouf.

It should be noted that the comet was discovered on August 12, 2023, by the Japanese astronomer Hideo Nishimura.

In addition, Brad Gibson, an astrophysicist at the University of Hull, said, “The comet takes about 500 years to orbit the solar system, so saying that this is a lifetime opportunity to see it is not an exaggeration.
