Recommended Assembly and Battle Log Locations in “Over the Sea” – ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON

In this article, I will introduce the recommended assembly and battle log locations in “Over the Sea” in From Software’s “ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON”.

Please note that this article contains spoilers for the mission.

The last mission of Chapter 2, “Over the Sea,” has a breakthrough rate of 52.7% on PS5 at the time of writing this article (September 6), a quest that nearly half have not yet cleared. Although the boss is weaker than “Baltheus” in Chapter 1, in this article we will introduce the fighting in this mission and the location of the information / battle log in consideration of the breakthrough rate.

Although it’s a relatively gentle boss, it’s a must-see for those who want to avoid the hassle of fighting Sea Spiders as many times as possible. As an aside, Sea Spiders are called “Rubiconian Desbokkuri”, so they take the form of pine cones, so the gimmicks when they change form are also fun enemies to watch.

Battle of Sea Spider

The key to the first form is to go around in circles!

1st form

As for how to defeat the boss Sea Spider in the same mission, I think it’s easier to keep attacking while circling around with a lightweight bipod and hit the pile bunker where the stagger is accumulated. There aren’t many complicated attack patterns, so I’ll introduce them briefly.

The first thing to watch out for is a melee attack that raises its legs and attacks like claws. Before attacking, there is a movement that moves and walks, so if you see it, move QB (quick boost) in a circle to the limit of the enemy’s attack range, or QB the moment you raise your leg. You can avoid it by slipping through.

The next dangerous thing is the charge-type weapon attached to the top of the enemy plane. There is some time between hearing the warning sound and firing, so in the case of a single shot, you can avoid it by QBing sideways or continuing to move as much as possible. In the case of the irradiation type, it is relatively easy to avoid by heading towards the enemy aircraft. Basically, when in the 1st form, you can avoid being hit by continuing to move around in a circle as quickly as possible without stopping.

The second form key is to shoot down from above the enemy!

2nd form

After entering the 2nd form, basically, when you are on the ground, various attacks will fly at you. It is easy to defeat if you keep it on the ground only when EN runs out. As for EN management, if it rises to a certain extent, it will rise every time after that, and consumption can be suppressed by using AB (Assault Boost) when it rises.
