CEO Andrew Wilson Teases Exciting Projects in Development at Respawn, Showcasing Studio’s Success

CEO EA Andrew Wilson at the conference Goldman Sachs Communacopia & Technology affected studio success theme Respawn.

EA bought the creators of Titanfall in 2017 for an estimated $455 million. Wilson noted that the company did not make many such deals, but it was the purchase of Respawn that he can name one of the most “incredible” acquisitions in the industry.

Wilson believes that the studio has an incredible team, whose success is obvious to EA. Wilson cited the writers’ work on Apex Legends and two games as specific examples. “Star Wars” (Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order и Star Wars Jedi: Survivor).

At the same time, Wilson hinted that the studio is now engaged in other exciting projects that EA is not yet ready to talk about.

Probably one of the new games will be the third part of Jedi, and even in the past it was mentioned that a small studio team works over the original.

In addition, studio head Vince Zampella is busy reimagining the Battlefield series.

By the way, the seventh patch was recently released for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which improves optimization and adds DLSS.
