Milan –
Simone Inzaghi experienced a salary increase after getting a new contract from Inter Milan. Inzaghi’s salary is only less than these two coaches. Anyone?
Inter awarded a new contract to Inzaghi who will keep him at Giuseppe Meazza until 2025. This is the fruit of Inzaghi’s good performance in his first two seasons in charge of Inter.
In his first season, Inzaghi failed to bring Inter to maintain the Scudetto. However, in the midst of the departure of several key players and Antonio Conte, Inzaghi advanced Inter to the Italian Super Cup and Coppa Italia titles.
Inzaghi still failed to win the Scudetto in his second season because Inter only finished second. Even so, two domestic cup titles were successfully defended, the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup, as well as being brought into the Champions League finalists.
Inter received a sizable income, more than 400 million euros, so they could overhaul the squad, repay debts, as well as increase Inzaghi’s salary. Yes, Inzaghi now earns 5.5 million euros (Rp. 90 billion) per year!
Inzaghi’s salary is only lower than that of Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri and AS Roma coach Jose Mourinho, who are both paid 7 million euros per year or around Rp. 112 billion.
Following under Inzaghi is AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli who gets 4 million euros per year. Then three coaches earn 3 million euros per year, namely Rudi Garcia (Napoli), Gian Piero Gasperini (Atalanta), and Maurizio Sarri (Lazio).
So far, Inzaghi’s new contract has been sweetly answered by him when he led Inter Milan to win their first three matches, scoring goals and conceding none. Top of Serie A, the Nerazzurri will meet AC Milan after the international break.
