ABU DHABI, 6 September / WAM / The Judo Federation will launch the new sports season 2023-2024, on September 16, with the Federation Cup Championship for cubs, juniors and men, at the Sharjah Club, under the auspices of His Excellency Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Darei, President of the Federation, and in cooperation with the Sharjah Sports Council.
The Judo Federation announced the launch of registration procedures to participate in the tournament the day after tomorrow, Friday, until September 13, followed by a lottery at the venue of the tournament, in preparation for the start of the scale process.
The technical committee, chaired by Mohammed Jassim, Assistant Secretary General, completed all arrangements according to the schedule of the tournament. Participation will be open in the cubs category for citizens in each weight, along with one player in each weight for residents, while the ages of the cubs category were determined for those born in 2009-2010.
The junior category allows open participation for citizens, along with one resident player in each weight, and the regulation specified the junior category under the ages of 2006, 2007 and 2008, with 8 weights.
His Excellency Al-Derei congratulated all the clubs on the occasion of the resumption of the activity of the local federation, and expressed his hope that the new season would contribute to showing promising new talents that support the national teams. He also praised the constructive and great cooperation of the Sharjah Sports Council with the activities and programs of the federation.
