Over the past two years, Arina Sobolenko has changed dramatically: she won her first Grand Slam tournament and became one of the strongest tennis players in the world. The athlete does not hide the fact that such an impressive progress would not have been without the huge support of her lover, hockey player Konstantin Koltsov.
However, a couple of years ago, Koltsov was happily married and did not even think about an affair with a bright tennis player. Did Sobolenko take the man away from the family?
Took her husband away from the family
After a long romantic relationship with the Belarusian hockey player Artyom Bozhko, Arina decided to focus on her sports career, and she preferred not to talk about her personal life. Only a year later, the tennis player announced her engagement, but hid the identity of her lover from the public. And five months later, Sobolenko got into an unpleasant scandal – they said that she took her husband away from the family.
In April, it became known that Konstantin Koltsov was divorcing his wife Yulia: the woman posted a long post on her social networks, where she said that their marriage could not stand the coronavirus, the birth of a child and the former hockey player’s lack of work. Julia also turned to all the girls, writing that hanging on other people’s husbands is mean, and noted Arina.
Subscribers began to deeply empathize with Koltsov’s ex-wife and sling mud at the Belarusian tennis player, although there was no evidence of an affair between Konstantin and Arina. Athletes crossed paths in public only once – at the scandalous opening of a restaurant near the Lebyazhy nature reserve in Minsk. But the young people did not have common photographs.

The former hockey player decided to shed light on the situation. Koltsov asked to leave Sobolenko alone, saying that she had nothing to do with his divorce.
“It’s impossible not to love her!”
After that, everything calmed down a bit: Arina continued to develop her sports career, and Konstantin got a job at the hockey club. Only with the beginning of the new season began to appear hints at the relationship of the couple. The tennis player began to be noticed more and more often at the matches of the Minsk Dynamo, where Koltsov was just working. The girl was sitting in the stands, chatting nicely with the fans and, smiling brightly, showed off her personalized jersey.
In 2021, the lovers finally told the world about their relationship. Konstantin accompanied Arina to the main tournaments of the season. The hockey player was noticed in the Sobolenko box during the competition in Rome, where the athlete lost to the American Corey Gauff and interrupted a series of seven victories in the tour. And after a couple of weeks, Koltsov went with his lover to Roland Garros. Arina already lost to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the third round and went to drink wine with Konstantin in the city of love – Paris. The lovers had a fun weekend: they walked around the city, got acquainted with the sights and tried French cuisine. After that, it became clear that everything was serious between them.
– She is an incredibly gentle, vulnerable, loving and worried person who is impossible not to love! It’s impossible not to love her! Koltsov wrote on his social networks.
Now Konstantin occasionally appears on the athlete’s social networks: while Arina is performing at tournaments, the hockey player works at Ak Bars. But at any opportunity, the couple spends time together and delights fans with happy pictures. Neither distance nor a big age difference (Arina is 17 years younger than Konstantin) became an obstacle for lovers.
