A wounding case occurred in Wan Chai yesterday. A 76-year-old street sleeper was accused of stealing a newspaper stall at the bottom of the flyover at No. 23 Harbor Road, Wanchai. The baton was used to attack the street sleeper, who suffered head injuries and blood flow, and fell into a coma. He was sent to Queen Mary Hospital by ambulance, and regained consciousness after rescue.

After an in-depth investigation, the police arrested a 40-year-old man in Wan Chai this morning. He was arrested on suspicion of assault causing bodily harm and is currently being detained for investigation. The case was handed over to Team 7 of the Wan Chai District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up.
