Kota Casper facing serious problems due to homelessness. City streets are full of human waste, homeless people make vacant properties damaged.
Reported from New York Post on Wednesday (6/9), City of Casper in Wyoming, the US is flooded with homeless people. There were about 200 homeless people, chaos started everywhere.
City streets are the main target for the homeless. They make tents and random settlements. What’s worse, they also defecate indiscriminately.
City employees told the media that they had to transport around 230 kilograms of human waste from around the city center.
“They destroyed everything. It was terrible,” said Mayor Bruce Knell.

These homeless people also make settlements in city parks. Once the city park was destroyed, they walked into the vacant property and destroyed it.
The Econoo Lodge Motel is one of them. This motel was closed due to a faulty plumbing which created a ‘local flood’.
However, these homeless people took over the top floors of the motel and lived there. They live on their own and destroy all the motel stuff. It is estimated that the damage amounted to hundreds of millions of dollars.

Casper City was now completely desperate. The mayor said the property was uninhabitable and unsafe following damage from homelessness.
Knell argues that this sudden influx of arrivals can be attributed to the town’s existence of a homeless shelter. He also said that when people are turned away from the centres, some of them don’t really leave.
“There are certain sections of the homeless population, whether substance abuse or mental illness, that make them unwilling to conform to societal rules,” Knell said.
“When they do that, they are not allowed into the shelter, which means they just hang around our community and cause trouble.”
