“Laura and I met in the same place where we met our bandmates – at the music school. We both played the clarinet with the same teacher. At the age of ten or eleven, I really wanted to leave the music school, but then the time of orchestras began and hanging out, and started liking that music thing. Companies and relationships were formed during the orchestra’s trips, and that’s how Laura and I have been together for ten years.
I like to jokingly say that we both do great things during the Christmas period – we got married in 2018, but this year a son was born, and we are already in our third year,” Andrejs reveals in an interview for “Ieva” magazine.
The new parents chose to give their son the Latvian name Miķelis.
“On the day my son was born, we had a concert, I hoped that these two events would not overlap, and everything really worked out perfectly, I greeted Miķeli and ran on. That day, of course, I sang to Miķel and my wife Laura. I have never experienced such strong feelings until now,” the musician remembers the birth of his son, which took place in mid-August.
In the group “Sudden Lights”, Andrejs is the only one who is married and has an heir.
