The facts date back to April. A 43-year-old man from Strasbourg had hit a bag in the middle of the street in which his 5-year-old cat was found.
A volunteer from the SPA had attended the scene and had warned the police.
The man of Armenian nationality appeared yesterday for serious abuse and acts of cruelty to pets and was sentenced to 9 months in prison, including 6 firm.
The cat Louna is doing better and has been placed in a foster family.
