(From Montevideo, Uruguay) – The death of the Argentine model Silvina Luna as a result of acute renal failure, generated after malpractice in an operation carried out by Aníbal Lotocki, was the trigger for the Uruguayan artist Raphael Dufort to decide to denounce the doctor .

The artist told the Uruguayan newscast Telemundo (Channel 12) he contacted Lotocki in 2008 because he wanted to correct a bad nose operation that had been done in Uruguay. But the Argentine doctor went further and proposed other interventions, in addition to the one he had in mind.

Dufort said that the professional first suggested that acrylic glass could be placed to “fill” a part with which he did not feel comfortable. “Then he began to talk to me, to sell me the other operations, all the possibilities that he had,” said the artist.

Lotocki convinced Dufort to put the substance on his arms and part of his chest, which would help him increase the volume of that part of the body. The doctor defined it as something “magical”, which was “reabsorbed”.

Dufort thought it was a good alternative because the magazine “Boom” was about to be released and he didn’t have much time to go to train. So, he agreed to Lotocki’s suggestion and that intervention was done as well.

But from the fourth year the problems began. Dufort began to feel severe pain and swelling. He started with kidney stones and increased vitamin D in his blood. According to her, she said, they were symptoms similar to those that the model had. “The first stones were impressive, I was hospitalized for almost a month,” said the artist.

When he started having these problems, Dufort called Lotocki, but the doctor never saw him.

“That was the beginning of my nightmare for 10 years. Last year I had my last operation, ”she recounted. “I have to do a lifelong treatment to try not to go on dialysis, take extreme care, drink a lot of water and check every two years with blood and urine tests to see how the values ​​are,” he added.

The artist said that he has to take a medication to control the levels of calcium in the blood that cause him “impressive” headaches. “My situation can cause a stroke or a heart attack,” he said.

Until now, he had not wanted to file a complaint, but faced with a new victim of malpractice, he decided to speak with his lawyer to file the lawsuit in Buenos Aires. “He is going to have to pay for all this. He would not want to wish him even 1% of the pain that we have in the body, what we go through, the hospitalizations and the pain, ”he commented.

Before being admitted, Dufort exchanged messages with Luna, who asked her to make the situation public.

Another of Lotocki’s suggestions to Dufort –according to the artist’s version– was for him to have a “penis enlargement”, an operation that three years ago he performed on a well-known businessman, who later died.

Dufort explained that the doctor’s first operation was “a carnage.” “He crosses your arms and gives you the product. He told me: ‘You have to put up with it,’ ”he recalled.

Dufort’s kidney is weakened from resisting the calcium being released and they function at 70% capacity. Globalized inflammation can lead you to lose your memory or have a panic attack or other pain.

The artist pointed out that many Uruguayans have this product in their bodies and suggested that studies be done and treatment started as soon as possible. “Don’t be ashamed. Say what happened to you, what you have and do it now, ”he recommended.
