Manama: A Malayali was found dead in Hajim in Bahrain. Kolannattu Velayudhan Jayan (46), a resident of Malappuram Ponnani Tirur west side, who was running a small grocery business, was found dead at his residence. Suicide is suspected.
After calling him on the phone since Sunday and getting no response, he informed his friends in Bahrain that his relatives from the country were missing. The shutter of the shop was open but the person could not be found during the investigation. Neighbors went to the current residence to no avail. Then the sponsor complained to the police.

After continuous investigation, he was found dead inside the flat where he used to live with his family. It is believed that he committed suicide due to financial burden. His wife Amrita and son are now in the country. Bahrain Kerala Social Forum Helpline and sponsor are in touch with the Indian Embassy to complete the legal procedures to take the dead body home.
