Two more projects of the Municipality of Ioannita received the “green light” from the Economic Committee.
During today’s meeting, it proceeded to award the tender for the creation of a bicycle path network and approved the tender for the maintenance and repair of municipal buildings.
The Chairman of the Economic Committee and Deputy Mayor of Projects Giorgos Arletos in his statement emphasized that the Municipal Authority is completing the program that was drawn up and is promoting all the projects throughout the entire area of the Municipality. “The pre-election period has started, but the Municipality and its services are still working with the aim of all of us being useful to the citizens” he underlined.
Projects
The project to create a bicycle path network has a budget of 400 million euros. After the public competitive electronic tender, it has been awarded and with the signing of the contract it will be possible to move to the implementation stage.
According to the technical study, the project is divided into three distinct sections:
SECTION 1: Dionysiou Filosofou Street
In the section in question, a 2.50m wide bicycle path is created on the road for two-way bicycle traffic, in continuation of the existing one that is placed on its pavement (on the Pamvotida lake side).
It is noted that the routes are separated from each other, so that there is no interference between pedestrians and bicycles as well as between the various activities that are expected to develop along the route.
-SECTION 2: Miaouli Coast
In this section, the geometry of the existing bicycle path is upgraded and a 2.50m wide path is created, instead of the existing 1.50m, for two-way bicycle traffic,
-SECTION 3: Fishponds area
In this section, a bicycle path is created and a 2.50 m wide path is formed for two-way bicycle traffic.
The route will be two-way and the final layer will be colored asphalt.
The Economic Committee also proceeded to approve the construction study and tender conditions for the maintenance and repair of municipal buildings with a budget of 430 thousand euros.
The project concerns the repair and maintenance of the building infrastructure of the Municipality of Ioannita with the aim of their safe use and the upgrading of the quality of the services provided.
The buildings that are the subject of the project concern the Community Store of Stavraki, which is in dire need of reconstruction, and municipal buildings in Iliokali, Konitsika and Manoliasa.
In addition to T.K. In Manoliasas there is a historical monument where it is necessary to shape the access and the surrounding area.
