At IAA Mobility, Chinese automaker BYD is showcasing an electric drive vehicle that will soon be available on the European market.
The 4.29 meter long Dolphin is powered by a 150 kW (204 hp) electric motor, while the 60.4 kWh Blade battery provides a range of up to 427 kilometers.
The manufacturer’s data shows that the front-wheel drive car accelerates to 100 km/h in seven seconds, the maximum speed is 160 km/h, and the maximum charging power is 88 kW.
A less powerful Dolphin version will also be available to the buyer, complete with 70 kW (95 hp) or 130 kW (176 hp) electric motors and a less capacious 44.9 kWh battery. With a range of 340 and 310 kilometers respectively, these variants can reach a top speed of 150 km/h and support a charging power of up to 60 kW. They will enter the market in the first quarter of 2024.
It should be noted that the BYD Dolphin has a trunk of 345 liters, which can be expanded to 1310 liters.
The manufacturer reveals that the price of the five-seater car in Europe will be 35,990 to 37,990 euros, depending on the version.
