Thiruvananthapuram > The cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal has strengthened and turned into a low pressure, the Central Meteorological Department said. At present, the depression is located over the West Bay of Bengal near south Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh coast. As a result of this, rain is likely to continue in Kerala for the next 5 days. Heavy rain is predicted at isolated places from September 5 to 8. Orange alert has been declared in Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts today. Yellow alert has also been declared in Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Thrissur districts. Yellow alert has been announced in Ernakulam and Idukki districts on Wednesday and Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod districts on Thursday.
