The Day Before: Potential Name Change and Trademark Dispute Impacting Release Date

The upcoming post-apocalyptic MMO The Day Before from the Fntastic studio will probably have a completely different name in the end. The authors have been dealing with a trademark dispute since February of this year, which will probably end with the renaming of the upcoming title. Magazine Wellplayed pointed out that the game’s authors had requested the establishment trademarks named DayWorld. But even this name can be problematic.

Website editors PCgamesN pointed out that the name DayWorld se covers the kk series of book novels, behind which the writer Philip José Farmer stands. Part of the players have already obviously broken the stick over the whole project and accuse the authors of later trying to justify another shift in the release date with these actions.

According to official information from the studio itself, The Day Before was supposed to be released on November 10 on PC as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. However, due to the materials published so far, the background of the studio itself and the overall strange happenings surrounding the game, a further delay cannot be ruled out.
