Gender violence continues to be one of the biggest scourges suffered by our society and all necessary mechanisms must be used from the different administrations to put an end to it because, unfortunately, and despite the fact that the world is evolving by leaps and bounds, the human being It continues to be the worst enemy on many occasions and, in this sense, it is enough to take a look at the data that the month of August has left us about this enormous problem.
In this sense, the Gender Violence Unit of the Local Police attended a total of 102 active cases in Ceuta; 55 police assessments of the level of risk were carried out; there were 15 new cases and a total of 247 telephone contacts.
The data is excessively worrying considering the population of Ceuta, which is why we should all jump on the bandwagon to fight against this real problem that is affecting our society. Well, it is not about, through marketing or associations that are of little worth, trying to make noise. It is about taking the bull by the horns, activating all the mechanisms that are necessary and all fighting in the same direction, hand in hand, united and without ideological and political confrontations that, by the way, do so much damage to the general interest of the society itself.
Trying to hide this scourge is delving into one more deception of those that little by little are ending the red lines that the human being himself should have assumed. Clearly, the situation is worth studying. Why do so many cases of gender violence and other types of violence occur in our society? Why do they not decrease but increase? We are doing something wrong, something is failing and the situation is increasingly worrying for future generations who, beyond perceiving formative and human concepts that help them grow on a day-to-day basis, find themselves in a scenario marked by confrontation , discord, selfishness and lack of humanity.
Not understanding that life is multiplying and not dividing is cause for concern and that there is still a long way to go.
