The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee’s Decisions on Protests and Fines in the Saudi Roshan League

The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Football Association rejected, on Monday, Al-Shabab Club’s protest against the irregular participation of Mukhtar Ali, the player of the Al-Nasr first team, during the confrontation between the two teams, which Yellow won by four goals, in the summit matches of the fourth round of the Saudi Roshan League.
In the operative part of the committee’s decision, the protest was accepted from a formal point of view, and rejected objectively, with the confiscation of the protest fee in favor of the Saudi Football Association, in addition to the possibility of appealing the decision in accordance with Article (144) of the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations.
According to the Saudi Football Association website, the Al-Shabab club filed a protest against the irregularity of Al-Nasr player Mukhtar’s participation in the match, as he carried two documents with different dates of birth.
The committee also fined Al-Nasr Club “17,500” riyals due to the delay of its players in entering the stadium, which led to a delay in the start of the second half of their match against Al-Hazm, in the fifth round, which ended with the victory of Al-Yasser “5-1”.
In another decision, the committee obligated Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal clubs to pay a fine for their delay in entering the stadium of the match that brought them together at the top of the fifth round matches of the Roshan League, which ended with the victory of Al-Azraq “4-3”, which led to a delay in the start of the second half of the match, as the first was fined “17,500” riyals in violation of a return for the second time, and the second “10,000” riyals.
In terms of the Yellow League competitions for first-division clubs, the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee punished Uhud club after accepting the protest of its counterpart Al-Najma against him regarding the irregularity of Faisal Darwish’s participation, as he received a red card in the last match of last season and did not implement the suspension penalty, and the committee decided to cancel the result of the confrontation and consider someone a loser. With a score of (3-0), it suspended Hisham Dagestani, a Uhud administrator, for a period of two months from accompanying the team in all matches, in addition to fining his club 37,500 riyals, and returning the protest fees to Al-Najma.
The committee’s decisions witnessed a fine of 10,000 riyals for Abdullah Mohammed Saeed, the Gulf player, in addition to the automatic suspension match resulting from the direct red card as a result of violent play against the youth player during the two teams’ regular confrontation in the fifth round.
The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee fined Abd al-Rahman al-Khaibri, Al-Najma player, 15,000 riyals and suspended him for two matches, including facing automatic suspension after receiving a direct red card, on the grounds of committing disgraceful behavior towards the Taraji player, according to what was stated in the match referee’s report. The committee imposed a fine on Jeddah and Al-Bakriya clubs, at the rate of 7,500 riyals each, due to the delay in their players entering the field before the second half of their match.
