Books – Marwan Al-Tayeb:
The artist, Ashraf Abdel-Baqi, mocked himself in his usual way, and published a picture from his artistic archive, through his official account on “Instagram”, during which he appeared with a thick mustache.
Ashraf commented on the photo, saying: “I feel like I look like someone with this mustache, but I don’t know who,” referring to the series “The Butcher of Giza,” which is currently shown on the “Shahid” platform and is achieving great public success.
The artist, Ahmed Fahmy, the hero of the series, responded to the comment, saying: “Is it longer than me, our teacher?” The comments were admired and ridiculed by Ashraf Abdel-Baqi’s followers on his account, saying: “Similar to Amir Karara in Kalbash, similar to Khaled Kamal, similar to Izzat Al-Alayli.”
The series “The Butcher of Giza” is inspired by a true story that takes place in 8 episodes about the crimes of the Butcher of Giza, and a number of Egyptian and Arab drama stars, Ahmed Fahmy, Rakeen Saad, Bassem Samra, Salah Abdullah, Mimi Gamal, Hanan Youssef, co-star in it, written by Mohamed Salah Al-Azab.
