The RPL moved the match of the eighth round of the Russian Championship between Sochi and the capital Spartak to Moscow.
Initially, the meeting was to be held on September 16 in Sochi, but the commission of the Russian Premier League for assessing the quality of football fields recommended suspending the games at the Fisht stadium for one month. In this regard, the general meeting of the RPL decided to move the September game between the teams to Moscow. It will take place at the Otkritie Bank Arena stadium. The meeting, scheduled for April 2024, will be held in Sochi, the press service of the league reports.
Earlier, the general director of the Black Sea club, Dmitry Rubashko, said that the game with Spartak could take place in Krasnodar.
Recall that following the results of seven rounds of the Russian Championship, Sochi is 12th in the table with six points. Spartak is in eighth place with 10 points.
In the match of the seventh round, Sochi lost away to Orenburg with a score of 3:0.
The tournament table of the championship of Russia is headed by Krasnodar, which scored 17 points. In the next round of the Russian Premier League, which will begin after a pause for national team matches, Sochi will meet with the capital’s Spartak.
