BNP Paribas is the largest banking group in France. Net Banking Product (NBP) breaks down by activity as follows: – retail banking (54.4%): retail banking in France (23.1% of NBP), Belgium (13%) and Italy (9.2%) . The remainder of NBP (54.7%) comes from international operations and specialized financial services activities (consumer credit, real estate credit, lease credit, vehicle fleet management, leasing of computer equipment); – financial and investment banking (32.5%): advisory and capital markets activities (68.3% of NBP; M&A advisory, activities related to the stock, interest rate and foreign exchange markets, etc.) and financing (31 .7%; financing of acquisitions, projects, commodity transactions, etc.); – institutional and private administration and insurance (13.1%): asset management, private banking (No. 1 in France), real estate and online brokerage services, insurance and investment services (No. 1 in Europe for retained securities). At the end of 2022, BNP Paribas managed 1,008.1 billion euros in current deposits and 857 billion euros in short-term loans. Net banking product is distributed geographically as follows: Europe (78.9%), North America (13.2%) and Asia/Pacific (7.9%).
