METALLIKY News: James Hetfield’s Tour Struggles, COVID Diagnosis, and Unexpected Four-Legged Concertgoer

News at METALLIKY we hardly even have time to write. He doesn’t wish James Hetfield luck on the tour for the new album. Not only that he forgot an entire part of the song at one performance „You Must Burn!“, but he still caught the ugly covid. But the most interesting thing is that one (four-legged) non-paying visitor attended the concert in Los Angeles!

The doubleheader in Arlington, Texas was televised to theaters around the world, so of course something had to go wrong. The next night, James Hetfield messed up the track „You Must Burn!“ and the whole band looked really scared. Even so, in the end, bassist Robert Trujillo spoke enthusiastically about the concerts: “We didn’t want to feel like we had to change anything because we were being filmed live. We mainly wanted to have fun. And they were the two best shows. On Sunday night, during the second performance, James even forgot an entire section of ‘You Must Burn!’. At that moment we all looked at each other confused and didn’t understand what was going on. But in the end I think it was great because it’s not very often that he messes up so much. And it happened live when the concert was broadcast around the world…”

But now METALLIC something else is bothering him – James Hetfield was tested positive for covid. On September 1st, the band played a shortened set in Glendale because the frontman was having problems with his voice. Two days later, she was supposed to have another concert there, which was postponed to September 9 due to Hetfield’s health.
