Marc Marquez witnessed a horror incident that occurred at the start of the Catalunya MotoGP race. The first is the incident that happened to Enea Bastianini and four other riders. At the first corner, Bastianini was seen trying to grab the leading position.

But unfortunately Bastianini actually lost control and fell. Coincidentally, when he fell, around Bastianini there were several riders who were laying down their motorbikes because at the corner, Alex Marquez, Marco Bezzecchi, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Johann Zarco were dragged into the gravel.

“I saw the first incident while braking for the first corner. She was more or less in the same position, but further inside. I then braked a little late, but Enea was even slower. She made a mistake and got punished for that. There’s no need took too much risk in the first corner, he will learn from that incident. It’s a shame he got injured, and I pray for a speedy recovery,” said Marquez.

The two Marquez also saw Francesco Bagnaia fall directly due to a highside. Marquez knows very well how dangerous the incident Francesco Bagnaia experienced. Moreover, Bagnaia did not have time to move the motorbike aside after it was knocked over and Brad Binder accidentally ran over his leg.

“I saw the highside accident directly (which Bagnaia experienced) and I immediately released the gas because it was clear to me that the motorbike would stop in the middle. I thought Binder ran over him but only in the legs. We can breathe easy, the whole MotoGP family is very lucky today this. Pecco escaped without serious injury, that makes me calmer,” he said again.

Speaking of accidents, ‘The Baby Aliens’ has experienced this a dozen times this season. Highside accident is one of them. For this reason, the Repsol Honda rider was more careful when riding the RC213V, which he called dangerous. In Catalunya, Marquez was finally able to touch the finish line for the second time. Previously, Marquez had missed finishing in the main races in nine series.

“I tried to stay. That’s racing and I had to control the front and rear tires well. I saw the feeling growing. Many riders passed me. Then I decided to push more in two, three or five laps behind the group, ” he said.

“I saw my brother (Alex Marquez), Quartararo and Miller. But I realized that I had to go beyond my limits and the motorbike to stay with them but I put too much pressure on the front tires. For that I decided to finish the race safely and bring the motorbike back to paddock safely,” concluded the eight-time world champion.
