There were three thieves who tried to rob the Ferrari driver, Carlos Sainz of a watch of immense value: over 500 thousand euros. The scene of the attempted crime is Via della Spiga. We are near via Montenapoleone, in the fashion district of Milan. At 20.30, in front of the Armani hotel, in via Manzoni, the three young men – they are three boys aged 18, 19 2 20, of Moroccan origin – approach the pilot and snatch the watch from his left wrist.

Sainz was in the company of his manager and wore his Alexander Zverev model Richard Mille watch. Stolen the watch, the three flee, trying to escape towards via Monte Napoleone. But the Formula 1 driver – who had just returned to the Lombard capital after yesterday’s race, Sunday 3 September – was quick to chase them aboard the manager’s car.

Sainz then continued getting out of the car and, with the help of two passers-by, succeeded in the enterprise: he blocked a first robber in via Pietro Verri. The second was, on the other hand, he was tackled in via della Spiga by the manager of the Ferrari driver. Finally, the third was reached shortly after by another staff member with the help of passers-by. And so, having alerted the police, the police officers of the General Prevention Office stopped the three robbers who, from there, were transported to the police station.
