In the latest episode of “The King of Mask Singer,” the identity of “Sunscreen” has been revealed!
During the September 3 broadcast of the MBC Singing Competition, four contestants qualified for the next round in their quest to challenge the defending champion.
In the second battle of Round 2, Sunscreen wowed the crowd with a moving cover of EXO’s Chen’s first solo track, “Beautiful Goodbye.”
Next, Sunscreen gave the audience a clue to his identity by performing a medley of sun-themed dance covers (matching his mask). The masked singer danced to Zico’s “Summer Hate,” KPOP group SEVENTEEN’s “HOT,” and TVXQ’s “Rising Sun.”

Although Sunscreen impressed the panelists with his singing, he ultimately lost the round to his opponent.
After his opponent left the stage, he stayed behind to remove his mask and reveal that he was GHOST9’s lead vocalist Choi Junseong.
When asked what he thought of appearing in “The King of Mask Singer,” Choi Junseong admitted that he felt nervous about being the first GHOST9 member to appear in series. “However, I think it was a great opportunity,” he continued, “and I’m honored to have been able to perform two songs today. »
Since Choi Junseong has previously appeared on Mnet’s “Produce X 101” and recently appeared on JTBC’s “Peak Time”, host Kim Sung Joo asked him if he had developed a skill to appear in survival shows. “I really realized that you have to do your best to show off and you have to be ambitious,” replied the idol.
