Oyem, September 03, 2023 (AGP) – The executive secretary of the political party “My Destiny in Hand” (MDM, center), Fernand Angoue Obame, announced this weekend in Oyem that his party is providing firm support to the Committee of Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI).
”The party I lead welcomes the act of courage and bravery orchestrated by our defense and security forces on August 30, and is therefore pleased to see our country liberated without bloodshed”, declared Mr. Angoue, during the press briefing he held this Saturday, in the presence of some members of his political party.
It must be said that on August 30, the Council for the Transition and the Restoration of Institutions (CTRI) dismissed President Ali Bongo Ondimba, candidate for his own succession and declared, shortly before, winner of the presidential election of August 26 last. The CTRI, which had denounced “truncated results”, immediately announced the dissolution of all the institutions of the Republic.
In his circumstantial remarks, the executive secretary of “My Destiny in Hand” also welcomed the approach implemented by the CTRI which has established a peaceful climate in the country, with a view to reconciling Gabonese men and women between them.
”We congratulate the democratic and inclusive approach of the CTRI aimed at integrating all the living forces of the Gabonese Nation, for a peaceful and peaceful transition, also my party provides firm, unfailing support to our defense and security forces, headed by General Brice Clotaire Olingui”, concluded Fernand Angoue Obame, calling on the Gabonese people to unreservedly support the action of the CTRI for a ”prosperous and fair Gabon for all”.
Not without emphasizing that his party is at the disposal of the transitional authorities.
