ABU DHABI, 3 September / WAM / Nasser Al Tamimi, Secretary-General of the Emirates Judo Federation, Treasurer of the International Judo Federation, member of the National Olympic Committee, confirmed that he had prepared an integrated program for the care of (talented athletes), to present it to His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee, according to a community artistic and educational vision.
He explained that he is looking forward to this program contributing to the discovery of Emirati talents, to the manufacture of future champions, especially the individual Olympic games, to advance the UAE’s sport, and to pay attention to the heroes who are able to raise the country’s flag in regional and international sports forums.
Al-Tamimi said that organizing the by-elections (2020-2024) to choose the members of the Board of Directors of the National Olympic Committee constitutes an incentive for future sports generations, with the aim of engaging in the field of sports work, which begins through clubs and then federations to various regional and international fields.
Al-Tamimi stated that the consultation sessions that preceded the elections, with the participation of a large segment of representatives of sports federations, showed that there is a new phase in UAE sport that enjoys the support, attention and care of the wise leadership.
He added: “The election of the National Olympic Committee constitutes support for UAE sports, and benefit from the national administrative and technical sports competencies that have regional and international expertise, which is reflected in our sport that knocked on the doors of the world, by providing support and sound programs to prepare these teams, in sufficient time before the external participation.”
